Join your neighbors and environmental groups from around the area to celebrate Enhancement Day in Oregon City!
The Oregon City Parks Department and Police Code Enforcement Division will be sponsoring a half-day volunteer event on Saturday, April 7, 2018. Volunteers will enhance the McLoughlin Promenade, located between the Oregon City Elevator and the VFW Hall by planting trees, bulbs, flowers, and by spreading bark. This is an all ages event.
While you’re there, be sure to come by and visit our conservation specialist, Nicole Ahr. Nicole will have information about Oregon white oak and the Backyard Habitat Certification Program which will be coming to the Oregon City area in April 2018.

Enhancement Day Event Details
- 8:30 – Pre-Registration at VFW Hall
- 9:00 – Guest speaker, Arborist Brian French
- 10:00 – Tree planting and beautification
- 12:00 – Visit Educational Booths and have light refreshments
Please dress for the weather and bring tools for personal use during event: gloves, shovels, pruners, loppers, rakes, wheelbarrow, push brooms, etc.
Every Enhancement Day volunteer will receive a raffle ticket upon registration. The raffle drawing will be held at noon and volunteers must be present to win.
The 2018 Enhancement Day is sponsored by Oregon City Police Code Enforcement Division, Oregon City Parks Department, Oregon City Garbage, Buel’s Impressions, and Fred Meyer. Tree City USA and Oregon Community Trees are supporters of this event.
