Equipment Rental Program Being Revamped

6-foot no-till drill

NOTE: As of June 9, 2021, CSWCD is not accepting any new reservations for the Equipment Rental Program until such a time as a new staff member is available to coordinate this program.

Update: November 17, 2015: Our equipment rental program is up and running!

Our Equipment Rental Program has been suspended while we revamp the program to better utilize the farm implements we have available.

Originally created to provide hard-to-find equipment to help farmers and land managers conserve soil and water, very little of the equipment has been utilized. The exception has been our two no-till drills. These drills are pulled behind tractors and allow seed to be planted without disturbing nearly as much soil as with traditional methods.

The Clackamas County Soil and Water Conservation District plans to rethink the program to find better ways to promote the use of our equipment to support the conservation of soil and water resources. We have not abandoned the concept of a rental program!

We are exceptionally grateful to Fischer Mill Supply for housing and operating ERP for the past several years. This program was a new initiative for the Clackamas County Soil and Water Conservation District, and FMS graciously stepped forward to help us provide specialized equipment to for conservation purposes.
