Check out these 2016 OktoberPest workshops!

OktoberPest is a series of workshops designed to help improve knowledge about pest management. This year the focus will be on entomology for novices and reducing non-target effects of pest management practices. These workshops and information sessions provide a focused learning environment for pest management professionals. Classes are held Thursday mornings at the North Willamette Research and Extension Center, 15201 NE Miley Rd, Aurora, Oregon. Registration fee is $25/workshop. This workshop will help growers judge how to apply pesticides with minimal impact to pollinators and to reduced off-target movement of pesticides. Learn more about the results of current efforts and which specific strategies and tactics can be used to protect our waterways. Listen as other nurseries share examples of actions they are taking to reduce impacts of pest management activities.
