Guided Hikes in the Clackamas River Watershed

Join the Clackamas River Basin Council on their annual guided hikes in the Clackamas River Watershed.

This year five hikes are scheduled from April through August. Your guide will lead you through the incredible scenery of the area and on several hikes you will have the opportunity to see the results of completed and ongoing restoration projects.

So pack your water, sunscreen and a snack and head off into the hills of beautiful Clackamas County!

Organic Focus Group Participants Needed

Organic focus groupThe Clackamas River Basin Council will host a focus group to hear more about your thoughts on organic and sustainable certifications open to agricultural producers. Dinner will be provided.

Take a Hike with the Clackamas River Basin Council!

If you have always wanted to explore the upper Clackamas Watershed, but haven’t been sure where to start, maybe you should take a hike! A hike with the Clackamas River Basin Council!

This summer the watershed council is sponsoring guided hikes through the upper Clackamas Watershed. Three hikes will be offered this year. Bring plenty of water, bug spray, sunscreen, snacks or lunch and most importantly, a camera. Wear weather appropriate gear and hiking shoes. The hikes start at the Clackamas River Ranger District located at 595 NW Industrial Way, Estacada at 9:00 a.m. on the scheduled day. Hikes are free, but RSVPs are required. Clackamas River Basin Council Job Announcements

Our partner in conservation, the Clackamas River Basin Council, is seeking applicants for two positions. The Field Activities Coordinator is a full-time position to support the Clackamas River Basin Council’s riparian enhancement projects involving invasive species management and revegetation. The Outreach Assistant is a part-time position to support the Clackamas River Basin Council’s mission by engaging with the public to promote streamside restoration, education, and volunteer opportunities.
