Weed Management Methods in Reforestation and Restoration Field Workshop
Saturday, April 18, 2015, from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm at Hopkins Demonstration Forest, 16750 S. Brockway Rd, Oregon City.
Weeds are getting the jump on us with the early spring this year. Controlling weeds may be your best option for increasing available soil moisture for your trees this summer. Weed control is often the key to success or failure in establishing tees and maintaining tree growth. This field tour, sponsored by Oregon State Extension, will cover principles and practices of vegetation management for establishing and maintaining trees in forestry and forest restoration.
Please dress for the field, bring your own lunch and be prepared to carpool to sites nearby. There is no fee, but registration is required.
To register, contact Jean Bremer by phone at 503-655-8631 or by email at [email protected].
