Board of Directors Work Session

The Clackamas Soil and Water Conservation District Board of Directors will hold a work session on October 24, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The work session will focus on public meeting law clarification and discussion. The Board of Directors may also learn about updates on changes expected from the implementation of HB 2850.

The work session guest speaker will be Eric Nusbaum, SWCD Operations Specialist, Oregon Department of Agriculture.

This work session is open to the public but no public comment will be taken.

Conservation Education & Outreach Collaboration Meeting

On Wednesday, July 26, 2023, the Clackamas Soil and Water Conservation District will host Conservation Education & Outreach staff from the Willamette Valley region for a quarterly collaboration group meeting. Guest presenter Roy Iwai will share information about the “Follow the Water” campaign being spearheaded by the Clean Rivers Coalition.

Preparation for the CONNECT 2024 conference, including the selection of a new track lead, will be addressed, as will consistent messaging regarding Emerald Ash Borer efforts in the area.

This bill concerns itself with eligibility requirements for Soil and Water Conservation District board members across Oregon.

This meeting is open to the public.
