Brendan grew up exploring the forests and rivers of the Pacific Northwest, developing a lifelong passion for ecology and conservation.
He holds a master’s degree in environmental science from Oregon State University and a bachelor’s degree in history from Portland State University. His work blends social and environmental sciences, helping to connect people with nature. With over 20 years of experience, Brendan has worked in habitat restoration, environmental education, consulting, fieldwork with the U.S. Forest Service, and serving on multiple nonprofit and agency boards.
In the spring of 2024, Brendan joined Clackamas SWCD as a Conservation Specialist. He focuses on regional wildlife habitats, including efforts to support Oregon white oak ecosystems. He helps landowners care for their natural areas by providing site-specific recommendations and resource assistance.
Outside of work, Brendan enjoys farming, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.
