Drew’s love for conservation started early when her parents took her to the Oregon coast. But what fascinated her most wasn’t the beaches—it was the drive there. She fell in love with the thick forests and winding creeks along the way.
Drew earned a Bachelor of Science in environmental studies from the University of Oregon, with minors in food studies and anthropology. During college, she worked as a technician for the Hallett Ecology Lab, wrote an honors thesis on pig grazing in oak woodlands, helped with riparian restoration through the Environmental Leadership Program, and worked at the university’s greenhouse. After graduating, she served with AmeriCorps as a Riparian and Outreach Specialist for the Johnson Creek Watershed Council.
Drew joined Clackamas SWCD as a Riparian Specialist in 2020, where she helps people restore and protect critical habitats along the many rivers and streams in Clackamas County. She also works with partner programs on streamside projects, leads educational programs, assists with the statewide emerald ash borer response, and even serves as CSWCD’s drone operator.
Outside of work, Drew enjoys camping, hiking, trying new teas, and playing video games.
