Cathy McQueeney

Education and Outreach Specialist

Contact:

Cathy’s love for conservation began when she was a kid in Texas, reading Ranger Rick magazines her grandparents gave her every year. She earned a master’s degree in human development from Pacific Oaks College and has worked as an educator for over 30 years.

She joined Clackamas SWCD in 2013, bringing new energy and perspective to conservation education. She uses her strong connections in rural Clackamas County and across the state to help more people access the District’s programs and resources. As the Education and Outreach Specialist, Cathy manages the District’s website, social media, and Partnership Support Grant Program. She also works with other organizations to support conservation education and serves as Secretary of the Oregon Conservation Education and Assistance Network (OCEAN) and as a board member of the Dry Farming Institute.

Outside of work, Cathy and her husband run a small family farm. She also enjoys hiking, kayaking, camping, and making art.
