About Institute for Applied Ecology

The Institute for Applied Ecology (IAE) stewards lands across western Oregon. We work to enhance biodiversity and ecosystem health through science-based restoration, with an emphasis on ecological resilience, recovery of rare and sensitive species, careful planning, integrated pest management, adaptive seed sourcing, and strong partnerships. IAE also conducts research and contributes to the body of knowledge on best practices for habitat restoration and the recovery of threatened and endangered (T&E) species
