Sustainable Northwest (SNW), in partnership with the Clackamas Soil and Water Conservation District, has released an Invitation For Bid for the performance of silvicultural land management services on privately owned forestlands in Clackamas County. The scope of this work involves the following conservation practices:
- NRCS Practice 666 – Forest Stand Improvement (hazard tree removal)
- NRCS Practice 384 – Woody Residue Treatment (lopping, scattering, making piles)
- NRCS Practice 490 – Tree & Shrub Site Preparation (chemical weed treatment)
Competitive Bids to provide post wildfire conservation services will be received by Becca Shively, Senior Wildfire Program Manager, Sustainable Northwest, 223 SW Naito Parkway, Suite 200, Portland Oregon 97204 or [email protected] until 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. Any bids received after the specified time will not be considered.

Pre-Proposal Field Tour
A mandatory Pre-Proposal Field Tour will be held on Tuesday, May 20th.
Attendance at the Pre-Proposal Field Tour is required under this IFB. Bidders should meet at the Clackamas Soil and Water Conservation District building (address: 22055 S Beavercreek Rd, Suite 1, Beavercreek, OR 97004) between 9:30am and 10am. Cars will depart at 10:00 a.m. for the tour. If bidders cannot attend on May 20, 2025, an alternate date may be provided based on the project manager’s discretion. Please notify the Bid Coordinator if you are planning to submit a bid and are unable to attend on May 20, 2025. The bid coordinator’s cell phone number is (503) 616-8063 for day-of logistical issues.
2020 Dowty Road Wildfire Area
This IFB is offered by Sustainable Northwest and Clackamas Soil and Water Conservation District to address properties within the 2020 Dowty Road Wildfire Area, thanks to funding through the USDA Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP) and the US Forest Service Forest Landowner Support Grant. This program is intended to assist eligible non-federal forest and non-industrial landowners to implement practices which address post-fire recovery and damage from wildfire on forest lands in western Oregon within the Lionshead, Beachie Creek, Holiday Farm, Riverside, Dowty Road, Unger, Wilhoit Springs, South Obenchain, and Archie Creek fire footprints.
