Justin Cooley

Justin joined the WeedWise team in Có thể 2019. He helps control, survey, and map invasive species, works with landowners, and partners with others to manage noxious weeds in the Molalla River and Lower Willamette areas of Clackamas County.

Before joining WeedWise, Justin worked in a variety of natural resource jobs in the Willamette Valley. He previously led the invasive species control program for the Yamhill Soil and Water Conservation District. He also spent five years with Metro’s Natural Areas Land Management Team, where he managed invasive species and restoration projects across 3,000 acres, including Smith and Bybee Wetlands in North Portland.

Justin has lived in Oregon for over 30 years and has called Clackamas County home for more than 13 years. He earned a bachelor’s degree in geography from the University of Oregon and completed graduate studies in environmental science and management at Portland State University.

In his free time, Justin enjoys spending time with his family and exploring local parks and natural areas.
