OktoberPest is a series of workshops designed to help improve knowledge about pest management. This year the focus will be on entomology for novices and reducing non-target effects of pest management practices. These workshops and information sessions provide a focused learning environment for pest management professionals. Classes are held Thursday mornings at the North Willamette Research and Extension Center, 15201 NE Miley Rd, Aurora, Oregon. Registration fee is $25/workshop. - Attracting friends: Beneficial Insects 101 for Open Systems

This session will focus on recognizing, attracting and conserving natural enemies of key pests in open systems. Identification of key elements and practices of conservation biological control will be presented.
