The Clackamas Soil and Water Conservation District celebrated the newly completed Conservation Resource Center with an Open House on Saturday, January 25th. Neighbors from the surrounding Beavercreek area were invited to tour the District’s permanent new home and enjoy light refreshments.

District staff were on hand to answer questions and members of the District’s Board of Directors took the opportunity to meet and greet our new neighbors.

The Open House brought out many people who were familiar with the history of the 15-acre farm property as well as others who were curious to learn more about the District. Over 200 people attended the event.

In addition to staff led tours, informational displays showcased several of the District’s programs, including the Equipment Rental Program, WeedWise Tool Lending Program, and Oregon White Oak Restoration Program. Visitors were able to examine the live invasive weed specimen library and watch a video highlighting the District’s goals and programs.

An Open House for the District’s partners was held on Friday, January 24th.

Everyone at the District looks forward to serving our neighbors and all Clackamas County landowners with their resource conservation needs in the coming years!
