Tree Give Away and Rain Garden Workshops!

Oregon City will be awarded Tree City USA status this Wednesday! To help celebrate, Clackamas County Soil and Water Conservation blue treeDistrict will be giving away native trees to Oregon City residents. Some trees are still available. Rain Gardens: Step by Step

Rain Gardens for Healthy Watersheds

Join us as we discuss the benefits that rain gardens can bring to both your backyard and your community. Starting with the connection between stormwater and watershed health, we’ll explain how rain gardens contribute to healthy rivers and clean streams while adding an attractive landscape feature to your yard. Through a step-by-step process, you will learn how to assess your property, determine the proper location and size for a rain garden, select plant materials, and maintain the rain garden.

A tour of the school’s new courtyard rain garden will follow the workshop!
