Take advantage of a Marion Soil & Water Conservation District tradition!

It’s time for the Marion SWCD 13th Annual Native Plant Sale. Each March they hold this sale to encourage more people to use native plants in their yards, on their farms, or at their businesses. Native plants help to enhance your yard or garden by providing food and shelter for birds and other wildlife. Also, once established, they require less water and maintenance as they are already adapted to our climate and soils.

Please be aware that there is NO pre-order option for this plant sale. You must come down and select your plants.

Payment by CASH or CHECK only.

ON FRIDAY, PURCHASES WILL BE LIMITED TO 5 OF ANY ONE PLANT SPECIES PER PERSON so stock will be available to more people throughout the day. This also encourages you to purchase a diversity of plants.

Come back on Saturday if you would like more plants, there will be no limit on the number of plants that are sold, and prices on plants are usually reduced to move stock.

Come early for the best selection—sales start at 10:00am on Friday, so you may have to wait in line (as some of you already know from past sales!).

Prices will range from $1.50 for bare root trees and shrubs to $3.00 for 3.5” pots and $8.00 for specialty shrubs and plants in gallon pots
